The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Canada extends a warm welcome to you. We are one of 32 sister regions in the United States comprising a mainline Protestant reformation church. However, we are the only region in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) that encompasses an entire nation. Thus, we consider ourselves both a regional church that is part of the wider church based out of Indianapolis, Indiana and we consider ourselves a national church. Because of our vast geography, we are composed of three areas - The Maritimes (Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island), the Ontario Area (Ontario and Quebec) and the Western Christian Fellowship (Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia). You will notice our churches go by various names - The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), The Church of Christ (Disciples) but don't let our names fool you; we can all be identified by the symbol of the chalice bearing the St. Andrew's cross. Whatever the name, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world with the mission to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ from our doorstep to yours.
