11 am - going across the street to Gowan Park, where we will clean up the park - we want to serve the community in which our church is located, and also have a
FREE BBQ
after the cleanup (around 12 noon)
Come, enjoy a short worship service, help us 'serve God by serving others", and have some great food.
It all starts @ 10:30 am

"Barefoot Sunday"
June 6 - at the end of the Worship Service, we will all come and leave our shoes (gently-used or new) on the platform at the front of the church. These shoes will be given to those in need.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE
December 24, 2009 @ 7 pm
Come and celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus! Through music, singing carols, readings, and Bible verse, we hear the story of that amazing night over 2000 years ago, when Jesus was born.
Invite a friend or family member, and join us in this time of celebration!

"HANGING OF THE GREENS"

This is a service that prepares our church, and us, for the upcoming Advent and Christmas season. Through readings, music, singing, and much more, our church is decorated for the season, and we have experienced the joy of seeing the Lord come to life in our church through His people. Most of our congregation participate in the service, as well as many others. This is a family event, and children are very much a part of this time as well.
Come, invite a friend or family member, and share the experience with us! We will enjoy snacks and refreshments in the Church Hall following the service.
Edmonton Dream Centre
November 1 @ 10:30 am (Worship Service)
The women of Edmonton Dream Centre will be joining us this Sunday, to sing as a choir, and to give testimonies of God's goodness. Come and hear their message in song and word, as they minister to each of us.

This is a time when our McKernan church family, along with their families and friends (and hopefully neighbours!), come together to celebrate the new school year. A time when students are returning to university, college, etc., and moving back into the community near the church. A time to see old friends, meet new friends, and have a good time together.
